Glitter, Cows and Clowns...Must be Halloween!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.  Any excuse to dress up and put on fun makeup.  I have a huge box of costumes in our attic for all of our costume parties, we have been to quite a few, and not just for Halloween.  I was hoping to not have to buy myself and Gabe costumes since I have a bunch already.  I knew we could make something work.

I also love to decorate the house. I love making Glitter Pumpkins every year.  But this year, I decided to get fake pumpkins and keep them instead of having to throw the real ones away. They are just too pretty.  My secret is the Martha Stewart Glitter, it's more fine than other glitter and looks so much better in my opinion.

This year we were lucky enough to get to dress up TWICE!! As it would be Georgia's first halloween, I need to get the perfect costume.  I thought about making one, but I hardly have time to shower, let alone take on a sewing project.  I searched online for a costume and found that they are so expensive!! And most start at 6 months old size.  Since Georgia is so petite, I needed a small costume, so now my options were extremely limited.  I also like doing theme costumes, so we would all "match."  I lucked out and found the cutest little cow costume and it wasn't expensive at all!!  Target online has great costumes, and some inexpensive options.

So we went as a milkmaid, farmer and baby cow one night
(even though I felt like the milk cow)

On actual Halloween, I went as a cowgirl and Gabe as a farmer again.

We had so much fun at the Halloween party we went to on Saturday night at our friends house.  Thanks Kirk Family! And on actual Halloween, we went downtown Boulder Creek and enjoyed the festivities.  Georgia was so interested in all the costumes and commotion.  She loved it!  But we didn't get a smile out of her, I think she was trying to figure out what the hell was going on.  And she never cried, even when she saw Corey...

I cant wait until next year when we can actually take her trick-or-treating and she can really enjoy it!

Sweet Dreams!
